Hello! I’m Ryan. I’m an entrepreneur & data technologist based out of Brooklyn, NY. Thanks for visiting my site.

Most recently, I’ve been building No Bananas, a product consulting firm working with startups, non-profits, and established companies to execute new ideas to help grow their impact.

In my free-time, you can find me surfing the east, fostering dogs, or writing/performing comedy at various places around NYC.

Some notable projects I’ve been absorbed in :-)

  • I co-founded and led the product team for Wikimedia Enterprise — The Wikimedia Foundation’s APIs designed to make reusing Wikipedia data easier while diversifying the revenue model of the project. We built the next generation of Wikipedia’s APIs and database dumps solving decades-old issues with the usability, speed, trustworthiness, machine readability and reliability of Wikipedia dataset. More here, here, and here.

  • I co-founded and helped build Triton — a recommendation engine-as-a-service company. We focused on using recommender models to strengthen the digital experiences in the news industry while fighting against echo-chambers. I learned a lot about how to work with wacky datasets and feature-engineer the best model for each client. Triton lives on today with a stronger product, similar bones, led by my awesome co-founder, Simba.

  • I spent time as a marketer working on NY Best Sellers like the Dalai Lama & Desmond Tutu’s Book of Joy, Bill Burnett & Dave Evan’s Designing Your Life, and many others at Idea Architects. I also grew the online web and social media presence of Activision’s Call of Duty Endowment, John Legend’s #FREEAMERICA campaign, Steven Tyler’s Janie’s Fund, and Orbis International while at Propper Daley.

  • The beginning of my career started as a full-stack engineer where I led the Android app for Favr, a local Santa Cruz social media app connecting small town businesses with both locals and out of towners in the Bay Area.
